May in Mexico
Hello!
May is a moth full of feriates in Mexico (and in Poland as you can see in the last post) I'll show you all of them here:
- May 1st: Día del Trabajo- Labors Day: This day the workers don't work, it's a day for rest (Well in the most of the cases) Celebrate and recognize the workers and there are events, some parades in the city. The article 123 of the mexican constitution defends some rights of the workers.
- May 5th: Batalla de Puebla- Puebla's Battle. Mexico won the battle versus France in May 5th of 1862, France was trying invade Mexico, but they couldn't win. The Mexico's army was diriged by Ignacio Zarágoza, whe he won the battle, said: "Las armas nacionales se han cubierto de gloria" to Benito Juarez who was the president. In USA this day is celebrated, one day asked to somebody why and I discovered they thought this day is the day of our independency, isn't it...
- May 10th: Día de las Madres- Mother's day. This day is dedicated to the moms, there are events and generally it's a family day is common go to the grandmother house and all the family eat a special plate, dad, sons and daughters give presents to mothers, It's a cute day!
- May 15th: Día del maestro- Teacher's day: The day of the teacher is basic education (Kinder- primary- secondary and some preparatories there isn'r classes) But in others there are normal classes. The children give presents to the teachers and professors (lecturers)
- My Birthday. Send me a cake like this PLEASE! xD
Greetings to everybody!
